The 5 Claude commands that run the boring half of your business

TL;DR

You don't build any of this. The five commands are pre-made workflows inside Claude Cowork's Small Business plugin: install it in three clicks, connect the tools you already use, type the slash. Below: what each command does, the exact install steps, and a setup prompt that turns Claude into your guide and gets you your first Monday brief in the same sitting.

You watched the video, so here's the whole thing in one place. Nothing in it is a mockup: all five commands are real, pre-built workflows that ship inside Claude, and none of them needs a developer, an automation tool, or a single line of code. You install one plugin, connect the tools you already pay for, and type the slash.

Why this works

Most owners use AI like a search box: open a chat, type a question, get a generic answer, because the chat knows nothing about your business. These commands are different. Each one is a pre-written workflow that already knows the steps: which tools to check, what order to work in, what the output should look like, and where to stop and ask you before anything touches money or customers. Your only job is to type the command.

The five commands

  • /monday-brief. Reads your bank, your pipeline and your calendar and hands you the week on one page: what's due, what's slipping, and the three things that actually need you.
  • /invoice-chase. Finds who owes you money and writes the reminder. A gentle nudge for the good customers, a firmer one for the always-late.
  • /cash-flow-snapshot. Answers the 3am question: will I make payroll 30, 60 and 90 days out.
  • /call-list. The five leads worth calling today, with talking points pulled from your actual email history, time blocked in your calendar, and follow-ups drafted.
  • /review-contract. Drop in a contract before you sign. Red flags come back in plain English.

Every one of them drafts and proposes. None of them sends an email, moves money or signs anything on its own. You stay the approval step.

Where they live

The commands come from the Small Business plugin in Claude Cowork, which is part of the Claude desktop app on the Pro, Max and Team plans. Install takes three clicks:

  1. Open Cowork in the Claude desktop app (claude.com/download if you don't have it).
  2. Click Customize in the left sidebar, then under Plugins click +.
  3. Find Small Business and click Install.

That's the whole install. Type / in a session and the commands appear. The plugin actually ships fifteen commands; the five above are the ones I'd hand any CEO first.

The commands get dramatically better when Claude can see your real numbers, so connect the tools you already use in settings under Connectors: your email, your calendar, your accounting package, your CRM. Connect only what you'd let a sharp new employee see. Everything still works without connectors, you'll just be pasting numbers in by hand instead of Claude reading them live.

You could stop here and figure the rest out yourself. But the rest of this page is the part I'd actually charge for: a setup prompt that turns Claude into your guide, walks you from wherever you are now to your first working /monday-brief in one sitting, and still gets you the brief even if you can't install anything today. That's what's behind the gate below, along with three more starter prompts and the one rule that keeps all of this safe.

Free with your email

That's the free preview. The rest unlocks right here.

Drop your email and this page unlocks instantly, along with every other gated guide on the site. Still in the locked half:

  • The setup prompt: a guided session that installs the plugin, connects your tools, and runs your first /monday-brief with you before you close the window
  • The fallback that gets you the Monday brief even if you can't install anything today
  • A real example of what the first run looks like
  • Three more starter prompts, including the one that picks the right command for your business when you don't know where to start
  • The one safety rule that makes it impossible for this to embarrass you
